These Terms and Conditions are bound to any reservation made with Picnic Rock (PTY) Ltd, from now on referred to as "Picnic Rock" and form the contract between the guest and the establishment.

AMENDMENTS

The owner of this Website, the authors of these contents and in general anybody connected to this Website in any way, reserves the right to amend tariffs, Terms and Conditions as well as rules of the establishment from time to time as it deems fit without prior notification.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Picnic Rock own all the intellectual property rights and materials contained in this Website.

This Website and the content provided in this Website may not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted or distributed.

You are granted limited license only for purposes of viewing the material contained on this Website and to make legitimate reservations.

You shall not use this Website for any other purposes, including without limitation, to make any speculative, false or fraudulent reservations.

Unauthorized use of this Website and/or the materials contained on this site may violate applicable copyright, trademark or other intellectual property laws or other laws.

Whilst Picnic Rock takes reasonable measures to ensure that the content of the Website is accurate and complete, Picnic Rock makes no representations or warranties, whether express or implied, as to the quality, timeliness, operation, integrity, availability or functionality of the Website or as to the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any information on the Website.

Guests attend our establishment at their own risk.

Picnic Rock and/or its employees shall not be liable for, and the guests hereby waive and abandon any cliams of whatever nature including but not limited to that for theft, injury, loss or damage of whatever nature, against the Picnic Rock, whether arising from the Picnic Rock's default, negligence or otherwise.

The guests, in addition to the aforesaid, hereby indemnify Picnic Rock against any claims which may arise form whatever nature, whether arising from the Picnic Rock's default, negligence or otherwise.

UNFORESEEABLE CIRCUMSTANCES

Picnic Rock is not liable neither obliged to pay any compensation for our failure to provide services contracted due to circumstances beyond our control such as natural disaster, fire, (acts of) war and terrorism, strikes, riots, civil disorder, governmental regulations, industrial disputes, adverse weather conditions or any other exceptional and catastrophic events, circumstances or emergencies, making it impossible, illegal or preventing guests from staying in our units.

PRIVACY POLICY

Picnic Rock is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy applies to all the web pages related to this website.

All the information gathered in the online forms on the website is used to personally identify users that subscribe to this service. The information will not be used for anything other that which is stated in the Terms and Conditions of use for this service. None of the information will be sold or made available to anyone.

RIGHT OF ADMISSION RESERVED

Picnic Rock reserves the right to refuse any person entry and to refuse rental of any accommodation without any reason being given for such refusal.

BEHAVIOUR

Picnic Rock requests all guests to conduct themselves appropriately throughout their stay and to operate with respect for the property, staff and guests of Picnic Rock.

Guests need to comply with the Picnic Rock procedures and/or requests with regards to the health and safety measures.

Guests are requested not to disturb the enjoyment and pleasure of other guests or cause any offence to other guests and staff members.

Also, the smooth running of the establishment may not be influenced by guests.

Guests may not use the premises for any unlawful purpose or act.

We reserve the right to refuse service or accommodation or remove a guest and members of the guests party from the premises if, in our opinion, we consider this provision to have been disobeyed.

When this is the case, Picnic Rock has no obligation to refund the guest for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expenses that occured.

DAMAGE TO OUR PROPERTY

Guests are expect to handle Picnic Rock's property with care.

Picnic Rock reserves the right and by booking, you authorise us to charge your credit card for any damage incurred to your unit or our property during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave.

BOOKING POLICY

Reservations are subject to Picnic Rockís availability.

Full payment is required in order to secure a reservation.

Should payment not be made on time, we reserve the right to cancel the provisional reservation without prior notice.

Proof of payment for EFT deposits are required to be sent to our office in order to confirm a payment.

Rates are subject to fluctuations and charged in South Afican (ZAR) currency.

Rates are per night sharing on a per person or per unit basis, as indicated.

Rates are for accommodation only unless otherwise specified.

CHILD POLICY

Children under the age of 2 stay free.

CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS

In order to prevent fraud and assure safety and security, guests may be required to provide their identity, valid credit card and their booking reference when checking in.

This information can be requested for all guests over the age of 18.

Moreover, we reserve the right to refuse entry to guests who are not able to provide this information.

CHECK-IN

Check-in time is at 14:00 local time on the scheduled day of arrival, unless otherwise is stated on the booking.

Early arrivals may be requested, but will be subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Additional charges might also apply.

 

NON-ARRIVALS

All secured bookings will be held until 23:59, on the scheduled day of arrival.

The unit will be re-assigned for occupation 24 hours after the scheduled arrival date unless prior arrangements have been made with management.

Reservations that fail to arrive are subject to a 100% ëno-showí fee on the booked value for the entire stay.

CHECK-OUT

On the day of departure, the check out time is 10:00, unless a later departure is stated in the booking.

Late departures may be requested, but will be subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Additional charges might also apply.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note that all cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to our reservation department at info@picnicrock.co.za.

Cancellations will only be effective once we have acknowledged receipt and confirmed the said cancellation.

An admin fee of 15% shall be charged for all deposits refunded.

Any cancellation made up to one calendar month prior to the arrival date shall be given a full refund of the amount paid.

For cancellations of reservations during the Peak Season less than two calendar months prior to the arrival date: No amount shall be refunded.

Any reductions to confirmed dates for Peak Season reservations less than one calendar month prior to arrival, will result in the original full stay still being payable.

If a stay is curtailed whilst in the unit, no refund shall be given.
 

UNDERAGED

All children (a person under 18 years of age) staying at Picnic Rock must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
 

PLETT RAGE STUDENT FESTIVAL

Please note that we do not rent units to students or attendees of the annual Plett Rage Festival.
 

SMOKING POLICY

Please respect our non-smoking policy so as not to experience an inconvenience upon your arrival or during your stay.

When smoking inside the room or unit occurs, management reserves the right to take appropriate measures such as fees and/or additional cleaning costs.
 

PET POLICY

Please respect our no-pets policy so as not to experience an inconvenience upon your arrival or during your stay.

When pet is discovered in a room or unit, management reserves the right to take appropriate measures such as fees and/or additional cleaning costs.
 

ASSIGNMENT AND SUBLETTING

No guest shall not be entitled to sublet the Premises in whole or part; or to give up possession of the Premises to any third party.
 

CANCELLATION POLICY

In event of guest cancelling, shortening or shifting at any time (from the date of making the booking) before or during the stay for any reason, the refund amount is dependent on extent of income from subletting on guest's behalf (shortfall at guest's cost), and subject to deduction of R500 administration fee per sublet check-in.
 

PARKING

Picnic Rock offers one parking spot per unit. Parking spots are limited in Keurbooms, however we can suggest parking spaces nearby for guests with more than one vehicle, please inform before arrival.

WI-FI

Picnic Rock offers a complimentary Wi-Fi service.

All units boast an individual network and passwords are shown in the unitís welcome letter and information booklet.

Our wireless network is provided without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied.

We do not ensure that access to our wireless network will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free at all times.

Picnic Rock is not responsible for the security, integrity, accuracy or completeness of any information that you transmit or receive while using our wireless network.

Unlawful or prohibited purposes on our network are not permitted.

LOST AND FOUND

All items found in the units will be registered and stored for three months.

ACCESSIBILITY

Although access to the units is accessible with a wheelchair, unfortunately the beach is not accessible with a wheelchair.

There are stairs and walkways down to the beach.
